After being in so much pain with endometriosis and PCO since I was in my late teens I thought it was a blessing to finally get a complete hysterectomy. But I sure wasn’t ready for all of the changes that came along with it. I went to several physicians and was getting absolutely no where but more frustrated. Felt like I was trapped in someone else’s body because everything I knew about myself was fading from my body, my personality and my overall confidence and self esteem . Weight gain, facial hair, body odor, hot flashes, no energy, not sleeping, thinning hair, scattered brain/forgetful, bloated….all the things !! But Dr. Fernandez took the time to really listen to me and developed a plan tailored to my life and my personal needs. She discussed better eating habits and doable routines to form positive new habits. HRT has been a blessing and I’m definitely headed in the right direction now. When I have questions or require some extra motivation I don’t hesitate to ask because I am truly listened to and have someone rooting for me and excited to help make this menopause journey a positive one.
